Episode 22 – No segue

After detailing our hardware setup in the last episode, we swoon over Razer and Logitech with very positive customer service stories. But it wouldn’t be Swag Tier if we didn’t find a weird life story to tie in, so if you’re not interested in peripheral praise, listen in to learn about Megan’s first visit to a sex shop (accompanied by her father, on her birthday).

Episode 21 – Our hardware setup

In this episode, we have a bit of tech talk in covering the devices and peripherals we use on our home setups every day. Megan covers an entire zoo’s worth of Razer products (including free phone stand), while I explain my more diverse set of gear.

Megan

  1. Microphone: Razer Seiren Pro (with butt)
  2. Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Chroma
  3. Mouse: Razer Mamba Chroma
  4. Mousepad: Razer Firefly Chroma

Steven

  1. Microphone: Blue Yeti
  2. Keyboard: Cooler Master CM Storm Quickfire Pro
  3. Mouse: Logitech G602
  4. Mousepad: XTracPads Ripper XXL

Episode 20 – The illustrious digbickqt scootin’ stallions

It’s a misnomer to call us a gaming podcast. We know that no one listens to us for gaming news, they listen because we’re entertaining and have great chemistry. Case in point: we’re in the middle of E3, but talk about it for only a minute at the start and end of the episode. We’d rather talk about:

  • Megan buying KCON NY tickets while sitting at a red light;
  • Yungoos looking like Donald Trump;
  • playing Final Fantasy Explorers > KCON sponsorship > Ticketmaster sponsorship > Donald Trump sponsorship;
  • how Megan is so easily convinced to keep her cable subscription;
  • the awkward decline of E3

Episode 18 – The customer service episode

We take a trip down memory lane, recalling:

  • how Megan associates Indian food with Ridge Racer;
  • mountains of rice;
  • Rock Band memories;
  • phone-a-friend at Mad Catz;
  • Megan’s epic winter trek to pick up the last copy of Rock Band

Episode 17 – Pocket Card Jockey lets Megan ride “Prancin’ Pooperz”

This episode is all about horses. 100 horses. Turns out they’re not a red flag for Megan after all.

We also confirm that no, Beyonce does not have a blog.

Episode 16 – Hiding Yoshi in your closet to preserve your relationship

In this episode, all our conversations revolve around collections:

Episode 15 – In which Megan puts Purell on her forehead

We continue on with our PAX East 2016 stories, but focus on Megan screaming just about everywhere: Overwatch, League of Legends, Stage Presence, etc. Seriously, this is Megan’s highlight reel. Listen in to find out how she uses public toilets, and what this photo is about:

Episode 14 – M.E.O.W. (Megan is an Equal Opportunity Whacker)

Megan and I continue our coverage of PAX East (even though you wouldn’t know it by the immediate tangent we take), talking about:

  • Marooners, an awesome local co-op game inheriting the best of Mario Party’s frantic minigames
  • Nuclear Throne‘s clever spectator giveaway
  • Steven’s addiction to (and subsequent abandonment of) Shop Heroes
  • how Megan becomes unhappy when children become happy
  • Puzzle and Dragons‘ booth

Episode 12 – After which Megan spontaneously decides to attend PAX East

Steven’s plans for PAX East are dangled in front of Megan like a juicy worm, and when she bites, I reel her in so hard that she decided after the episode to buy a ticket, schedule a flight, and book a hotel. So ignore what we say in the episode: she is here with me at PAX in Boston right now!

And as mentioned, here are:

Episode 11 – Overpaying for collector’s edition everything

We cover tons of ground in this ep, but it can be boiled down to:

  • Megan’s TPA Orianna story, and the Gchat fistpump of celebration
  • The pro gaming apparatus that Steven handmade for Megan
  • Psychoanalyzing what types of stories Steven and Megan like, and how they’re the opposites of their own lives
  • Everyone’s thoughts on Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
  • The Final Fantasy XV:
    • Ultimate collector’s edition ($270)
    • Trailer with Florence + the Machine
      • Steven: “Is this the trailer where Florence + the Machine sings in the second half?
      • Megan: “I don’t even…is that…a person?”
    • Being completely the opposite of what Megan is interested in
      • Steven: “There’s nothing interesting for you – it’s four bros in a car!”
      • Megan: “And I don’t give a sh*t about cars!”
      • Steven: “Well, that was clear in the last episode.”
