Episode 54 – My horse curse

In this episode of Swag Tier, Megan and Steven review the popular mobile dating sim, My Horse Prince.  Ok, it’s really Megan who does the review and Steven who asks questions and paints hypothetical situations (because let’s be real, Megan is the only one crazy enough to actually play a dating sim about a horse).  But they both come to the same conclusion – that My Horse Prince deserves the rating of one steaming pile of horse poop.  Other topics include some insight into Steven’s food adventures in Budapest and weird apps in the Google Play Store.

Episode 53 – Overcooked

Last episode, Megan and Caitlin touched upon on their latest obsession, Overcooked. But a game this fun deserves more than just a few minutes, and so we’re not ashamed that we inadvertently spent nearly the whole episode hyping it up even further.  Of course, we wouldn’t be Swag Tier if we didn’t wander off on a couple of non-gaming related tangents such as driving in Portugal and losing sponsorships.

Episode 52 – Snake! Snake! Oh, it’s a snake!

For this episode of Swag Tier, Caitlin joins Megan and Steven to tell them about her first experience attending PAX South.  Other topics include:

  • a story Steven crafted for Caitlin using Rory’s Story Cubes where he was voluntold to include snakes as protagonists;
  • Caitlin’s failed attempts to acquire swag at PAX South;
  • Steven’s first experience as a PAX Exhibitor;
  • how Megan and Caitlin almost ditched a night out with friends to stay home and play Overcooked in their pajamas.

Episode 51 – Under the sea

Join Megan and Steven as Megan recounts a recent visit to Caitlin’s mom’s house that almost ended in a trip to the emergency vet, and Steven gives us the lowdown on his PAX South 2017 volunteering schedule.  Other topics include:

  • which team Caitlin’s family would be if they were in a Pokemon game;
  • Megan’s hopes and dreams that Nexon’s unannounced MOBA title will turn out to be League of Kpop;
  • and an executive summary of an old Gawker article about an unfortunate calamari-eating experience.

Episode 49 – The broken episode

In this episode of Swag Tier, Megan relives a painful massage “therapy” experience where her masseur more or less broke her body, Steven tells the tale of his bus breaking down on the way to Maryland for MAGFest, and unbeknownst to our listeners who don’t read our episode descriptions, Megan accidentally deleted the audio for the last episode of Swag Tier when she uploaded the audio for this episode.  Other topics include Megan’s plans to (never) finish her Mamamoo fanfiction and Steven’s plans to volunteer at MAGFest 2017.

Episode 46 – Psychopath in the making

When Megan isn’t busy laughing at Caitlin’s Pokemon GO misfortunes, she’s staying up all night to play Bejeweled Stars.  And when Steven isn’t busy keeping busy, he’s putting hours into Final Fantasy XV.  Join us on this week’s episode of Swag Tier to hear about these two games, the new iOS exclusive Mario game, and a special Swag Tier prediction of when Megan will finally get around to opening and playing some of the RPG’s she (and others) paid full price for but can probably be found at Five Below these days.

Episode 42 – A spiritual exploration of Keen.com

As promised last episode, Megan and Steven take their listeners on a mystical journey through the Keen.com website.  Listen in to hear about advisors, their reviews, and the guidelines for becoming an advisor and creating a listing.  Steven even gives a mini tutorial on how to apply your makeup so you’re picture perfect for your advisor photo.

And when you’re done listening, be sure to check out Dalya’s page, and sign up for Keen.com to get your free 3 minutes to call her or another advisor of your choice!  No, we are not being sponsored by Keen, but we would welcome that opportunity!  (At least until Megan loses it.)

Episode 39 – The girlfriend showdown

Join Megan and Steven as they demonstrate their world-class mathematical abilities, build hype for MAGFest 2017, and finally get around to discussing Megan’s first Renaissance Festival experience.  Other topics include:

  • donating (or not) to our alma mater;
  • Megan’s intense aversion to hipster headbands;
  • Megan and Steven’s “professional” opinions about Lolita;
  • why Megan will most likely be killed off after this episode airs.

Episode 37 – Baby’s First Mad Libs

This week on Swag Tier, Megan and Steven decide to change things up a bit and play a little game called Mad Libs.  Join them in their adventure to hear about:

  • some of Megan’s childhood memories;
  • Steven’s bathroom pro-tip for pooping in style in public;
  • a glowing recommendation for Wizard People, Dear Reader;
  • Steven’s first (and hopefully not last) profanity slip up.

Episode 36 – Market trading > racing

Megan gives a recap of her performance at last weekend’s Korus Festival and then prompts an awkward segue into game talk.  Tune in to hear about:

  • Twitch Prime, which is free for Amazon Prime subscribers – link your Twitch and Amazon Prime accounts by November 5th to get free digital swag;
  • Steven’s first mediocre recommendation, a follow up to Megan’s first mediocre recommendation back in episode 27;
  • Megan’s dying obsession with Bejeweled Blitz;
  • the two latest Mii Plaza/StreetPass games, Slot Car Racers and Market Crashers.

And as promised, don’t forget to check out the Beyonce clown video.
